Dupe Products

Who wants to treat themselves to over £800’s worth of awesome products but only spend £40?! ME TOO!

If you’re anything like me then you’ll see this product on Instagram, that product on Facebook and end up creating your own little wishlist that quite frankly you just can’t afford.

Well over the last few weeks I’ve been on the lookout for any dupes available at bargain prices. I’ve come across these 11 products that are brilliant and I’ve bought the lot! Now obviously I’ve not tried and tested most of the ‘real deal’ products, we’ve already established I can’t afford them, but I have tried a few which I’ll declare as we go along.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation £33.50

Primark My Colour Perfect Foundation £5

dupe products

Now this dupe has been raved about for a while now and I was on the look out a couple of months ago for a new full coverage foundation and Double Wear was a contender. I put it out on Instagram and unbelievably most people told me it dried their skin out and not to bother (I ended up with Rimmel 25hr foundation which is fab by the way). Anyway my mum buys Double Wear and loves it, she gave me a bottle of hers to try and from the moment I put it on my face it just didn’t feel right, it was dry and I didn’t find it easy to blend, it also caked when putting concealer and highlighter on top of it too. I tried it a few times and it did get better but still I wasn’t a fan. Now for Primark My Colour Perfect it took me a while to get hold of the right shade for my skin but I eventually found it a couple of days ago and I was so surprised. I loved it so much more than the Estée Lauder Double Wear, this blended well and didn’t cake at all plus it was buildable for the coverage I needed. I know for most, Double Wear is amazing and maybe I’m just doing something wrong but Primark definitely wins hands down for me and for the price it’s worth buying to see if it works for you too.

Aldi No3 Pomegranate Candle £3.99

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Candle £45

dupe candles

I have been burning the Aldi candle for quite a while now and I really like it, I have never had the Jo Malone one so I can’t really compare but from what I’ve heard they smell similar and look very similar too. The Aldi candle has a lovely smell not over powering just nice and subtle. The throw of the candle isn’t amazing but you can definitely smell it as you walk into a room with it not getting too much like some candles do. I love the jar it comes in it’s so pretty and looks good on my mantle piece. Definitely give this a try πŸ™‚

St Moriz Fake Tan £2.99

St Tropez Fake Tan £21

dupe fake tan

Fake tan is not my area of expertise at all :/ to be honest I hardly ever wear it and if I do it’s when I’m going on a night out and it’s just my legs that need doing so I use the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs (that stuff is amazing by the way it’s like foundation for your legs). But, with it coming into summer now I was wanting to try something nice, easy and idiot proof, that wouldn’t break the bank. I also put this question out on Instagram and the majority came back with St Moriz and it’s much cheaper than St Tropez, I don’t actually know if this is trying to be a dupe for St Tropez but the bottle looks similar. I’m going to be honest here I haven’t got round to trying it yet, my bad :/ but I trust my tribe on Instagram so I’m sure it’s going to be good, I forgot to buy a mitt to apply it so as soon as I do I will update on Insta what I think.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser £28

Aldi Hot Cloth Cleanser £3.99

dupe products

I have both of these products right now in my bathroom and if I closed my eyes and used them both I wouldn’t be able to tell a difference at all! They are alike in every way possible in my opinion, from the smell to how it looks and feels on your face, just Liz Earle comes in pretty packaging but we’re not putting that on our faces are we πŸ™‚ The Aldi Hot Cloth Cleanser comes with just 1 cloth where as the Liz Earle comes with 2 but that’s nothing, I use flannels anyway. If you are a fan of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish you need to get to Aldi and buy there Hot Cloth Cleanser you won’t be disappointed. The only problem with this is it’s not a year round product at Aldi so grab it while you can.

Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour £3.99

Coco Mademoiselle Chanel  £77

dupe perfumes

This is another product that has been raved about in the blogging world, a £3.99 Lidl perfume smelling like Coco Mademoiselle that cost £77 WTF!! I can confirm it does smell like Coco Mademoiselle and I’ve read that when tested a lot of people couldn’t tell the difference. I have had Coco Mademoiselle many moons ago when I didn’t have kids to pay for and it’s one of my favourite perfumes of all time. Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour definitely doesn’t last all day like the real deal but it’s good for work or the school run etc and I would purchase this perfume again when I’m next in Lidl. I’ve heard they also do other dupe perfumes too πŸ™‚

Wickford & Co Home Bargains Candles £2.99

Yankee Candles £17.99

dupe candles

Right just so you guys know I am a massive Yankee Candle fan and burn their candles a lot, but at Christmas I came across Wickford & Co Candles in Home Bargains. They had lots of Christmas scents and I bought a few and they were fab, I’m not sure if I was tested I’d be able to tell the difference between them and the Yankee Candles Shhh :/ I have seen a lot of different scents throughout the year in Home Bargains, I have picked the odd one up and never been disappointed, they burn well and have a good throw. They are a fab dupes for the Yankee Candle although I’m not sure I could stop buying Yankee Candles altogether haha, next time you are in Home Bargains pick one up and give it a try.

Superdrug Revolution Concealer & Define £4

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer £22

dupe concealer

When it comes to concealer this is my make up holy grail, I have always had eye bags no matter how much sleep I’ve had, my mum has eye bags, my dad has eye bags, there for I have bloody eye bags and I hate them! My normal go to product is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser, I love it, it does its job (or as much as it can on my eyes) and it’s very reasonably priced. I recently ran out of the Maybelline and had heard good things about the Superdrug concealer. It’s only £4 which is even cheaper than the Maybelline and I’d heard it was very much like the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer which I couldn’t justify buying. I have never tried the Shape Tape Concealer but heard it’s amazing so off I went to Superdrug. I have used it a few times now and OMG it’s flipping ace, and I mean ace! Like, could it be a contender for me using this over my Maybelline one? I don’t know yet but it’s so close. That teamed with the Primark foundation is a great duo. Like I said I haven’t tried the Shape Tape but I don’t feel I need to with this dupe πŸ™‚

Primark Quilted Doll Shoes £6

Chanel Classic Quilted Flats $699 (£518)

dupe shoes

As soon as I saw these in Primark I instantly thought Chanel with the quilted look, now I have never had a pair of Chanel shoes and it’s highly unlikely I never will so obviously I can’t compare. So I will have to make do with this Primark special, I know they will only last a few months but for £6 you can’t really complain so if  you want the Chanel look for under £10 go get yourself to Primark for a pair of these.

Root Perfect at Home Bargains £1.99

L’Oréal Magic Retouch £9

dupe products

Again I have not tried the L’Oréal Magic Retouch as I have never felt the need to with the Root Perfect you can buy in Home Bargains and I’m sure B&M too. This spray is great for in-between hair dyes and covers grey just fine πŸ™‚ I use this all the time every month. I have mentioned this on one of my favourites videos on YouTube and as I said on that if you start touching your roots it will transfer onto your fingers which isn’t great but not a big deal as I don’t do it often. I don’t know if the L’Oréal one does this but I don’t think it’s worth the extra money just to see. So if you need a root touch up in between going to the hairdressers and don’t want to pay £9 for the L’Oréal one give this a try it comes in all different colours too.

Primark Pomegranate & Black Tea Perfume £3

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Perfume  £45

dupe perfumes

Here’s another Jo Malone dupe for you and if you like the candle then you will like this for sure. Primark are selling a 20ml bottle for just £3 and the smell is beaut. I haven’t again had the Jo Malone perfume but for 30ml it’s £45 and I’ve read they smell so similar. I absolutely love the smell of the Primark dupe and will definitely be re-purchasing it in the larger bottle next time.

Aldi Amaretto £5

Disaronno £15

dupe drinks

This wasn’t going to be in this blog hence it now being 11 dupes not a round number like 10, but I couldn’t resist telling you all if you love Disaronno like me. I called into Aldi the other day to do my weekly shop and spotted this Aldi version at £5 so I thought it would be rude not to pick it up and give it a go. I am drinking some with Diet Coke as I write this post and I’m really enjoying it I can’t really tell the difference between this and Disaronno if I’m honest. The only difference I see is that the Disaronno slightly higher in volume but that’s all πŸ™‚

Brilliant blog post hun! πŸ˜πŸ™† I absolutely loved the look of the hot cloth cleanser in Aldi but I wasn’t sure if it was good or not so thank you…now I’m going to get some and try it for myself. I’ve tried the Primark pump foundation and it didn’t work for me, I wasnt happy with it at all…but I’ve not tried the bottle foundation, so I want to give that a try to see if it is any better. My favourite is definitely Rimmel 24 hr foundation, I absolutely love it. I’ve always had a massive obsession with candles, incense sticks and burners etc and my ultimate fave is the home bargains candles you’ve shown above, they smell incredible. I need to go buy some more because I’ve not many candles now.
Loved reading your blog post and I’m also completely obsessed with finding bargains and dupes are amazing too.
    Brilliant read.

      Thank you πŸ™‚

I’m still loving the hot Cloth Cleanser from Aldi and can’t tell a difference:) you will love it I’m sure.

I’ve not tried the pump foundation from primark but the bottle one is definitely worth a try πŸ™‚ but I also love the Rimmel 25hr foundation.

Yes the Home Bargains candles are fab and the Aldi ones πŸ™‚ there’s just no need anymore for people to spend a fortune on candles.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting, sorry I haven’t replied before now, I’ve only just downloaded WordPress app on my phone xx
